Job Summary
- Collect, verify and analyse thoroughly newsworthy information relating to entertainment event
- Maintain networks of media and entertainment industry contacts
- Assemble findings into a stable story
- Write and deliver news stories with the reader’s perspective in mind
- Production of daily news reports
- Receive assignments or investigate news leads/tips
- Contact, interview and research sport sources
- Maintain notes and audio recordings
- Cooperate with reporters, Editors, producers etc
- Stay up to date with the latest current sport events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mass communication or any related field
- Good observation and deduction skills
- Love for entertainment
- Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills to work effectively with a team
