The FactCheckHub – the verification platform of the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR) offers internships opportinuties for undergraduate and graduate students at its head office in Abuja, Nigeria. FACT-CHECK INTERNS (3 Positions – ABUJA)
- This internship is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the fast-growing FactCheckHub team, which is leading in the fight against misinformation and disinformation.
- The Internship position requires an agile individual interested in building a career in fact-checking and willing to work with the team to navigate online disinformation using digital verification techniques and tools easily.
- The internship position also requires the ability to work in a fast-paced multimedia newsroom and meet tight deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FACT-CHECK INTERN POSITIONS
- At least a Bachelor’s degree or HND in Mass Communication, English or any related field. Serving Corps members or graduates who completed NYSC recently are equally qualified to apply.
- The candidates must have excellent writing skills and must be able to speak English fluently.
- The candidates must have a flair for research and be computer literate.
