Social Media Officer

Our organization is seeking a talented and creative social media Officer and Content Lead. You will be responsible for leading our social media presence and content strategy including digital advertising. You’ll work collaboratively with Editorial team to develop and execute engaging content across various platforms, build brand awareness, and drive audience engagement.

Position:  Social Media and Communications Officer


A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field is preferred.


  • 3 yearsof experience in a similar or related role.
  • Prior experience in social media management, digital marketing, and  content creation is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with social media advertising and paid promotion strategies.
  • Experience in using social media analytics tools to track and measure campaign performance.
  • Knowledge of website content management systems (CMS) and also search engine optimisation (SEO).

Social Media Knowledge: 

  • In-depth understanding of various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) and their respective best practices.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in social media.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in social media algorithms, trends, and industry standards.


Content Creation: 

  • Strong writing and editing skills for creating engaging and shareable content.
  • Experience with graphic design, video editing, or other multimedia content creation tools can be beneficial.
  • Understanding of brand guidelines and the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice across different platforms.
  • Create and Produce Newsletters both Internal and External



Amplification Strategies: 

  • Ability to develop and implement effective content amplification strategies to increase reach and engagement.
  • Understanding of organic and paid amplification methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to craft compelling and brand-consistent messages.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to come up with innovative social media campaigns.


Analytics and Reporting: 

  • Proficiency in using analytics tools to monitor social media metrics and provide regular reports.
  • Ability to analyse data to derive insights and make data-driven decisions.

Networking & community management

  • Skill in building and maintaining relationships with influencers, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Contacts with relevant officials of different social media
  • Skill in building and engaging communities for different ICIR products.
