At least 16 people were killed and 10 others injured in Wednesday morning’s multiple bombing in Damaturu, Yobe State capital.
The Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, Musa Idi, confirmed the story to newsmen in Damaturu on Wednesday.
It was learnt that the suicide bomber blew himself up around Ministry of Housing quarters and Buhari Housing Estate in Damaturu. Eyewitness said that the bomber came near the mosque inside Buhari Estate, hugged one of the three teenage boys around and blew up himself and others at the scene.
The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that normalcy has returned to the state capital as schools opened, while workers and other residents have resumed their normal business.
