Adamawa Governor Celebrates Christmas With The Physically Challenged

For the first time in the history of the state, the Adamawa State Government organised Christmas celebration for the physically challenged at the Government House, Yola.





     

     

    Governor Jubrilla Bindow, on Monday had dinner with the physically challenged from all the 21 local government areas of the state who all converged on the Government House for the historic event.

    It was the firt time the state government would organise such event. Governor Bindow, who spoke at the event said: ” I create this event to make a difference, to show love for our brothers and sisters who are physically challenged, to show they have contributions to make for the peace and progress of our society; and  to ensure meaningful peace building in our dear nation and to end violence in Nigeria particularly Adamawa State”

    One of the physically challenged guests at the event, Yakubu Musa said ” this is the first time we come to gather to eat dinner with the governor of our state and all of us are so glad to see this day.”

    The government also invited non-indigenes, including Igbos and Yorubas who live in yola to the dinner.
