Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed, on Friday swore in 14 newly appointed permanent secretaries, urged them to apply best practices of due process, accountability and transparency in their service to the people.
Governor Ahmed who said this during the swearing-in ceremony at the Council Chamber of the Government House, Ilorin, said that the appointment of the new permanent secretaries was due to their active participants in the administration of the state.
The Kwara governor decried the persistent drop in monthly allocation and urged government officials to ensure prudence and judicious utilization of public resources as well as enhanced revenue generation.
Ahmed stressed that the economic survival and sustenance of Kwara State was crucial, urging all citizens of the state to contribute their quota considering the new economic realities in the country.
He also charged the new permanent secretaries to give their very best in the pursuit of the shared prosperity programme of the present administration for the benefit of the people.
