First Lady Aisha Buhari on Tuesday urged the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, not to back down on its campaign promises, especially on the payment of N5,000  to unemployed youths and providing free meal a day to school children.

In a statement by her special assistant on media, Adebisi Olumide-Ajayi, Aisha appealed to the party to ensure paying N5,000 to 25 million unemployed Nigerians and giving school children one free meal a day.

Her appeal is coming on the heels of APC Senators’ decision to vote against a motion moved by the opposition calling on the Presidency to pay the N5,000 allowance, as promised.

Aisha said that the APC was a party of integrity and had assured Nigerians during the campaign that it would pay N5,000 each month to 25 million most vulnerable citizens.

She, however, asked Nigerians to be patient with the APC government to bring about the change it promised.

It would be recall that on November 6 the APC reiterated to Nigerians its promise to pay N5,000 each monthly to 25 million most vulnerable Nigerians.
