THE Alfred Friendly Press is inviting applications for its Fellowship.
The programme is aimed at providing fellows with experience in reporting, writing and editing that will enhance future professional performance, transferring knowledge gained during the program to colleagues at home, and fostering ties between journalists in the United States and other countries.
Print, broadcast and online journalists from developing countries can apply for an annual program that brings journalists to American newsrooms.
The program starts in mid-March and ends in early September.
The fellowship begins with a two-week orientation at the Missouri School of Journalism, followed by placement in leading US newsrooms.
Fellows will receive travel, health insurance, and basic living expenses.
The organiser says applicants must have at least three years of professional experience, current full-time employment as a journalist, be between 25 and 35 years old and have a good level of spoken and written English.
The deadline for the submission of applications is August 31, 2022. Interested persons can apply here.
