The Equality Fund Journalism Fellowship 2026 is open to journalists in ODA-recipient countries.
The Equality Fund, a global fund investing in people with local solutions to global challenges, says it is launching its inaugural Equality Fund Journalism Fellowship.
It states that applicants must have a minimum of three years of journalism experience; should be located in, and be reporting on, communities in ODA-recipient countries
Women, non-binary, and trans people are encouraged to apply for the fellowship.
The organisers say, “Fellows will have to complete editorial independence, should be willing to follow trauma-informed reporting best practices and conduct community roundtables (where possible), maintain intellectual proprietary rights over the work while Equality Fund retains the right to publish/reproduce your work to promote the fellowship”.
Freelance journalists paid by a publishing outlet can retain the publication fee as well as the fellowship stipend, while full-time staff must notify their newsroom of the Equality Fund Journalism Fellowship stipend.
The application deadline is November 8, 2026, and interested applicants can apply here.
