Army Restricts Movement For Borno Central Bye Election

The Nigerian Army on Friday imposed a restriction of movement of persons and vehicles during Saturday’s Borno Central Senatorial bye election in the state.

The media coordinator of Operation Lafiya Dole, Tukur Gusau, a Colonel, who stated this in Maiduguri, said the restriction order will affect residents of Maiduguri metropolis and Jere local government area.

Gusau also said the restriction will also affect the use of vehicles, tricycles, bicycles and animals, explaining that the order will be effective from 6 a.m. and 5 pm.

Gusau added that no vehicles would be allowed into and out of the senatorial zone during the bye election.
