The United States on Thursday said Nigeria has recorded some success in the fight against Boko Haram but warned that the threat posed by the group still remains high, Reuters has reported.
The US also said it will continue supporting the country, especially with regard to securing the release of the abducted Chibok school girls.
“The threat still remains and it is quite serious, and it is why the United States continues to be committed to supporting them as they counter that threat,” White House spokesman, Josh Earnest, told journalists.
