President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday charged the ministers-designate to be drivers of the change that the Nigerian people want from his administration.
President Buhari said this in a keynote address at a two days retreat organised for his ministers-designate, along with the vice president Yemi Osinbajo, all ministers-designate and top aides at the Presidential Villa.
The two day retreat with the theme ‘Delivering Change from Precepts to Practice’ is organised by the office of Secretary General of the Federation in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development, USAID, as the facilitator.
The President told the ministers to count themselves privileged to be chosen to be the drivers of change among a multitude of Nigerians and urged them to ensure that their determination to succeed must correspond with the nation’s challenges.
Last Tuesday, while receiving the list of confirmed ministers from Senate President, Bukola Saraki, President Buhari indicated that some of the new minsters will operate without portfolio.
