BVAS malfunctions in Bauchi South

THE Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) has malfunctioned in some parts of Bauchi South Senatorial District, Bauchi State.




     

     

    The technological device was introduced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in 2021 to promote credible elections and prevent rigging.

    At Polling Unit 22, Kofar Nasarawa Primary School of Bauchi State, the BVAS stopped functioning as a result of network failure.

    The network failure which commenced around 10:00 am has left hundreds of voters stranded.

    At the time of filling this report, voters are still waiting to exercise their franchise.
