David Mark joins presidential race, picks nomination form

THE former Senate President, David Mark, has picked the presidential nomination form at the Peoples Democratic Party secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday.

After picking the form, the 70 years old Mark announced that he would fix the Nigeria economy for two years. “In two years, if given the opportunity, we will turn the economy of this country round, we will solve these security problems, we will bring Nigerians together.”

He said the level of distrust in the Nigeria government today has never been experienced in the history of the country.




     

     

    Mark who is also a retired brigadier general in the army said his military background is a benefit for Nigerians.   “I have a very good military background and has been in politics since 1998. I think I have got the credentials to be able to do what I have promised my team.

    Mark said that PDP is the country’s choice” judging by the number of people who have picked the PDP presidential nomination form.

    Mark said his first priority is towards restructuring Nigeria.

    Not less than 10 people have picked the PDP presidential nomination forms. Among them are the current Senate President Bukola Saraki; the former vice-President, Atiku Abubakar; and Aminu Tambuwal who is the current governor of Sokoto state and also the former speaker of Nigeria House of Representatives.
