The Ekiti State director Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, Akinfolarin Feyisola, has directed the governor, Kayode Fayemi, to declare his end of tenure assets before the expiration of his tenure
Feyisola who spoke with newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, on Sunday noted that the order was not only for the governor but also for all political office holders in the state, adding that they had all been notified.
He stressed that it is compulsory for political office holders in the country to declare their assets when they are assuming and vacating office.
He further said that whoever refuses to comply with the directive would be dragged before the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
Feyisola said that some of the affected officers had started collecting the assets declaration forms after they were reminded of the constitutional provision.
On the crisis in the state prompting the shutdown of all courts, the director said it was a challenge for officers who had filled their forms but have nowhere to swear affidavit or do other court processes.
Feyisola, however, urged those who are yet to collect or complete their forms to quickly do so as they await the re-opening of the courts.
