THIRTY-six members of the House of Representatives have defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday.
Thirty-three of the defectors joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and four moved to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
This is following a similar development at the Senate earlier on Tuesday when 15 senators dumped the ruling party, 14 for the PDP and one for ADC.
Breaking News! Gale of defection hits @OfficialAPCNg as 32 Honorable members of the APC in the House of Representatives have defected to the @OfficialPDPNig and 4 others to one of our sister Party, (CUUP), the African Democratic Congress (ADC). …More to come pic.twitter.com/Z9Sm9Tq1E2

The legislators cited division in the APC as the reason for their defection.
However, unlike in the Senate here the defections gave PDP the majority, APC still maintains its majority in the House of Reps despite the movements.
