THE Inter-American Press Association, Bolivia’s Journalism Foundation and Proyecto Desconfío of Argentina launch a new edition of the Summit on Disinformation on September 18, and 19, 2024.
This year’s edition will spotlight efforts in strengthening democracy against disinformation, in media strategies to counter misleading narratives, in innovation and artificial intelligence, and in media education and literacy.
Some of the participants include, Mario Tascón (Spain), Cristina Tardáguila (Brazil), Olivia Sohr (Argentina) and Craig Silverman (US).
The organiser says, “The summit is a space for global interaction where journalists, researchers, academics, fact-checkers, media and government representatives, civil society organisations, professors and students meet annually to debate, present actions, proposals and success stories on the challenges in the fight against disinformation at a global level.”
Journalists, fact-checkers, researchers, students, activists and others can register for this bilingual international event.
