The Edo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Louis Odion, on Friday announced his resignation with effect from end of October
While confirming his resignation to journalists in Benin, Odion said his decision was to allow him give more quality time to his family and to further his journalism career.
“I have been away for four years and my children are still young. They need my attention. I have always seen myself as a professional and I have been on sabbatical from the news room.”
The Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has accepted Odion’s resignation.
Odion was first appointed commissioner in 2011 and was reappointed when governor Oshiomhole was elected for a second term.
