President Goodluck Jonathan has recommended the chief executive officer and corps marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Osita Chidoka, to the National Assembly for ministerial appointment.
Chidoka will fill the slot of Anambra State in the Federal Executive Council, FEC.
There are speculations that he would be replacing the sacked immediate past minister of aviation, Stella Oduah, who was dropped for the many weighty allegations of misappropriation of public funds levelled against her, including the controversial purchase of two bullet-proof cars.
It was gathered that the position which had been reserved for the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, is now being given to Chidoka, due to the contention which the issue was generating.
It is believed that some prominent politicians in the state who were not in support of President Jonathan’s decision to nominate Obi might have influence him to settle for Chidoka.
