Gov Oshiomole Sacks Commissioners, Appoints Others

Governor Adms Oshiomole of Edo State has fired two of the commissioners in his cabinet.

The sacked commissioners as Orobosa Omo-Ojo, who was in charge of Transport, and Donald Osikhena-Boih, who headed the Lands and Survey ministry.




     

     

    The governor also nominated four new commissioners into the cabinet. The new appointees, whose names have been sent to the state House of Assembly for approval, are Joseph Ayegbeni Ugheoke, Kenneth Edebiri; Saturday Idehen Uwulekhue and Prestly Ediagboya.

    The changes were made known through a statement by the special adviser to the governor on media and public relations, Kassim Afegbua.

    The statement indicated that the governor also appointed two deputy chiefs of staff – Frank Okiye, (Administration) and Kenneth Ehesikhien, (Political Matters).

    Okiye, a former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, member of the state House of Assembly recently defected to the All Progressive Congress, APC.
