THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has completed the uploading of results of three local government areas (LGAs) in Lagos state for the governorship election held on Saturday, March 18, leaving 17 LGAs yet to be completed, The ICIR can report.
The information posted on the INEC’s official portal showed that as at 3.45pm on Sunday, March 19, the governorship election results for Badagry (LGA – 06), Apapa (LGA – 05) and Lagos Island (LG –14) had been fully uploaded.
A total of 412 polling units’ results were uploaded to the INEC portal from 11 wards in the Badagry LGA; 374 from the 10 wards in Apapa LGA, and 389 from the 19 wards in Lagos Island LGA.
On the INEC portal, a total of 11,464 polling units’ results had been uploaded out of the overall 13,325 polling units results from all the 20 LGAs in the state, representing about 86 per cent of total results uploaded.
The winner of the governorship election is expected to be declared as soon as the results from all the polling units are completely uploaded to the portal.
