Honda Commences Production Of Sedans In Nigeria

The Honda Motor Company has commenced the assembling of its popular Sedan model of cars in Nigeria.

According to a statement by the company’s chief executive, Takahiro Hachigo, the firm has begun the building of cars in Nigeria by retooling part of its factory that previously made motorcycles.




     

     

    It was Hachigo’s first public statement since his appointment in June.

    The Honda CEO said that a target of 1,000 Accord sedans annually has been set by the company for production in its plant

    According to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, Hachigo promised to step up the level of production of cars if the local market in Nigeria grows.

    The plant in Nigeria is also expected to serve as a supply unit for other African countries.
