The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), with support from the FIA Foundation Richard Stanley Memorial Grant and the World Health Organisation (WHO) through funding from Bloomberg Philanthropies, launches the 2024 Road Safety Reporting Competition and Awards.
This award aims to help journalists beam searchlights on road crash deaths and injuries in some of the hardest-hit countries.
Applicants must have at least one published story related to road safety. Only stories published between January 1, 2024, and October 29, 2024 are eligible for submission.
Journalists reporting on road safety who have published works in media outlets in Brazil, Botswana, India, Mexico, Nepal, and Nigeria can enter a competition.
Prizes will be tools to support further journalism work.
The deadline for the submission of application is October 29, 2024. Interested applicants can apply here.
