Ida B. Wells Fellowship seeks entries

TYPE Media Center is accepting applications for its Ida B. Wells Fellowship

The program seeks to promote diversity in journalism by helping to create a pipeline of investigative reporters of color who bring diverse backgrounds, experiences, and interests to their work.

The yearlong fellowship provides a US$25,000 award, editorial advice, and legal assistance.

Fellows will receive funds to cover travel and other reporting costs, and the costs associated with attending the annual Investigative Reporters and Editors conference.

Journalists of color can apply for a fellowship to produce investigative reporting.

The deadline for the submission of the application is March 12, 2023. Interested applicants can apply here.
