JournalismAI Innovation Challenge calls for application

THE JournalismAI Innovation Challenge, supported by the Google News Initiative, seeks entries to its grants that aim to fund projects/tools from news publishers to help fight misinformation and disinformation.

The grants will also help them experiment with new formats across mobile, video and audio, and identify ways to grow subscriptions and support diverse forms of revenue.

This nine-month-long programme is designed by the JournalismAI team at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and supported by the Google News Initiative.

Ten ideas will receive US$250,000 each and 25 ideas will receive US$50,000 each.

News organisations can participate in a challenge and receive grants for AI projects.

The deadline for the submission of application is October 10, 2024. Interested applicants can apply here.
