ABUT 32 officers of the Nigeria Navy holding the rank of Rear Admirals have been redeployed as part of a major re-organisation of the Navy hierarchy.
This is contained in a statement issued by Suleman Dahun, spokesman of the Navy, on behalf of the Chief of Naval Staff, Ibok-Ete Ibas. Dahun stated the reorganization is aimed at reorganizing the Naval force for better efficiency.
According to the statement, Begroy Enyinna Ibe-Enwo is now the new Chief of Policy and Plans, Naval Headquarters, while Apochi Suleiman, who was formerly in charge of the Joint Task Force Operation DELTA SAFE, will take over as the Chief of Defence Administration.
Similarly, Tariworio Dick, a former Deputy Commandant in the Armed Forces Command and Staff College Jaji, has been appointed Chief of Training and Operations Naval Headquarters, while Obi Ofodile becomes the new Director of Plans Defence Headquarters.
Ifeola Mohammed is the new Chief of Naval Transformation Naval Headquarters, Akinjide Akinrinade, takes over the leadership of the Joint Task Force Operation DELTA SAFE, Matthew Emuekpere moves to the Armed Forces Command and Staff College Jaji as Deputy Commandant, and Tanko Dakwat becomes Chief of Naval Standards and Safety,
Saleh Usman is the new Chief of Administration Naval Headquarters, Ahamefule Eluwa, resumes at the Defence Headquarters as Director of Project Monitoring, but Dolapo Kolawole maintains his position as the Director of Training, Defence Headquarters.
The reshuffling also affected Mike Okonkwo, who is now the Director of Transformation at the Defence Headquarters, Shuwa Mohammed, the former Managing Director, Nigerian Navy Hotel and Suites Limited resumes as the Director of Logistics, Defence Intelligence Agency, while Rear Admiral Obed Ngalabak moves to Defence Headquarters as Chief of Defence Civil Military Cooperation.
Magaji Danladi is the new Chief of Naval Engineering, Abubakar Al-hassan moves to the Defence Headquarters as Director of Development; Mackson Kadiri heads the National Defence College, while Oladele Daji, resumes as the new Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command.
