Meta seeks entries to webinar on using global open-source forest data set

TOGETHER with Meta, the World Resources Institute (WRI), the Global Restoration Initiative and the Land & Carbon Lab are inviting applications to their webinar on July 18, 2024, to introduce AI foundation model.

This model helped to produce the world’s first global map of tree canopy height at a one-meter resolution, allowing the detection of single trees at a global scale.

In this webinar, experts at WRI, Land & Carbon Lab and Meta will discuss the data and their uses, and what it means for the future of open-source, AI-driven earth monitoring.

They will also be joined by experts from the Bezos Earth Fund as they explain why they’re investing in AI for nature and climate.
