Osun guber poll: Accreditation, voting commence

ACCREDITATION and voting has commenced in the Osun State governorship election.

The ICIR observed that the process has been orderly, so far.

The election which is currently holding in 3,763 polling units across the 30 Local government areas is being contested by 15 candidates.



The ICIR reporter observed that in Osun east, Ilesha east LGA, the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) is working well.

Also, in Polling Unit 004, Ward 7 of Ilesha East Local Government Area, the election process has started with the accreditation of voters.




     

     

    At around 9:40 am in Osun West, accreditation and voting has already commenced.

    In Ward 07, Polling Unit 006 of Ayedire Local Government Area, The ICIR observed that there were no security personnel available despite the commencement of voting.

    However, there are just 67 registered voters in the polling unit.

    INEC officials in some of the polling units told The ICIR that everything is going well so far.
