East-West-Road-Bridge

Many commuters were left stranded on Thursday after a part of the Rivers State section of the East-West Road caved in.

The portion that collapse is located in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State and is close to the popular Okulu-Aleto bridge in Akpajo community.

The East-West road has gulped billions of naira since the contract for its repair was awarded in 2011. The road connects all the states in the south-south region of the country.
