Plateau PDP Crisis Deepens As Chairman Is Sacked

The Plateau State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has passed a vote of no confident on its embattled chairman, Haruna Dabin, and endorsed the acting chairman, Raymond Dabo, to continue to steer the activities of the party.

This resolution was conveyed in a communiqué at the end of an extraordinary meeting of the party which took place today at the Government House in Rayfield.

Representing the communiqué drafting committee, David Racha, chairman Bassa LGA said this verdict is to enable the party investigate the activities of the chairman.

It will be recalled that last month Dabin got suspended by the state PDP, citing allegations of the ex chairman’s failure to call meetings of the various organs of the party for a long time and his inability to render financial accounts to the party, as well as instigating some members to institute a suit against the party.

The communiqué was signed by all the members of the party’s executive committee.
