President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed Danladi Irmiya Kifasi as the new Head of Service of the federation.

This was announced by the special adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati on Wednesday.

Kifasi replaces Bukar Goni Aji whose retirement from service is due.

The new Head of Service was until this appointment, the permanent secretary in the ministry of Petroleum Resources.

The appointment takes immediate effect.
