Senate Confirms Ibrahim Shekarau, Others As Ministers

The Senate has confirmed former Kano State governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, as Minister.

The upper chamber of the National Assembly also confirmed as a minister Abu Bulama from Yobe State, Stephen Oru from Delta State who is the deputy vice-chairman South south of the PDP and Adedayo Adeyeye from Ekiti State who is the PDP party leader in the state.

Senate President, David Mark, congratulated the new appointees and urged them to see themselves as ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who are not in office to satisfy their party and sectional interests.

President Jonathan had on June 4 forwarded their names to the Senate for confirmation as ministers.
