Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, has called on the federal government to probe the N500 million fund reportedly released for the reconstruction of Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok.
Shettima made the call while addressing the residents of Chibok on Tuesday, stressing that the state would urge the federal government to uncover those who might have diverted the money.
He lamented that a lot of individuals and groups have turned the misfortune of Boko Haram victims into a money-making venture.
He said it was important to determine how much was released to the contractor handling the project as the school has remained in a state of disrepair.
Two years after the fund was said to have been released, the project has not been completed while students of the school remain at home.
The money for the reconstruction of the school was released after the abduction of Chibok school girls.
