Taboom offers 2022 Cape Town workshop on LGBTQI+ reporting in Africa

Taboom Media is inviting applications for its intensive reporting workshop on covering LGBTQI+ issues and religion.  

The training is slated for October 28, 2022, to November 2, 2022, in Cape Town, South Africa. 

Participants must be open-minded to the issues at hand and affiliated with news operations where they can contribute positively to the accurate and ethical reporting of how religion intersects with sexual and gender minorities. 

Reporters, editors, publishers, and bloggers based in Africa and proficient in English can apply for this free, all-expenses-paid training. 




     

     

    Participants will be required to produce at least one story for publication, broadcast, or other distribution by January 2023. 

    The organiser will cover flights, food, and lodging. 

    To apply, applicants must complete the application form, and upload their CV and two work samples (links preferred).
