The Federal Government has accused Governor Bene Ayade of Cross River State of misappropriating bailout funds given to the state to clear arrears of workers’ salaries and pension.
A gubernatorial aspirant, Joe Agi, who contested the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, governorship primary election in the state in 2015, had asked the court to sack Ayade over false declaration of age but the apex court held on Friday that Agi could not prove the allegation against the governor.
