The former governor had filed a N10 billion suit against the DSS for allegedly violating his fundamental human rights by holding him in custody illegally for 73 days between February 25 and May 7, 2017.
In a statement made available to journalists by Tony Opuiyo on Wednesday, the DSS said that Suswam’s continued detention was legal as the Service has a warrant to that effect.
The federal government has instituted a fresh corruption charge against the former Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam, who is accused of diverting N9.79 alongside two others.
