The trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, on charges of forgery of the Senate Standing Orders, could not go on as scheduled at an Abuja High Court, as the court has commenced its vacation.
The Presidency has dismissed as pretentious and imaginary, claims by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, that there is a government within the government that has seized the apparatus of the executive power.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki released a statement on Monday in Abuja, insisting that the ongoing forgery trial against himself and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, was just another phase in the relentless persecution of the Leadership of the Senate as well as a violation of the principle of separation of powers between the Executive and the Legislative arms of government.
