Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has expressed sadness over the death of football fans in a viewing centre in Calabar, Cross River state, and charged the appropriate authority to investigate the circumstances surrounding the ugly incident with a view to avoiding a reoccurence.
The Cross River State government has signed an agreement with a Dubai firm, Skipper Seil, to provide a 100kva solar lighting generating system which would ensure 24-hour power supply in Calabar, the state capital.
