Former Borno State Governor and factional leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ali-Modu Sheriff, has given conditions that must be met by the Makarfi-led Caretaker Committee for peace to return to the party.
He said the only condition for peace was for the caretaker committee led by Ahmed Makarfi to resign, because there is no place for a caretaker committee in the party’s constitution.
The independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, will next week decide on which of the two factions of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, it will recognize.
