Adoke said that as a Minister, he was merely discharging his duties by carrying out the instructions of the President; therefore he wants the court to declare his prosecution by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, as illegal.
Chairman of the House Committee on Justice, Razak Atunwa, said: “We cannot ignore such weighty allegations (against Jonathan) knowing fully well that Nigeria has lost billions of dollars as a result of the numerous complications around the OPL 245 oil field."
