The Niger Delta Avengers have criticized President Muhammadu Buhari for threatening to mete out the ‘Boko Haram treatment’ on militants in the Niger Delta.
The Akwa Ibom Police Command has attributed the explosion of the NNPC gas pipeline in Nsit-Ibom Local Government Area of the State to a technical fault, saying that claims by the Niger Delta Avengers militant group that it blew up the oil facility, was false.
The Niger Delta Avengers said it has blown up a gas pipeline belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, located at Nsit-Ibom local government area of Akwa Ibom State.
An official of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has been killed by suspected pirates in the creeks of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area in Bayelsa State.
