Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, has been summoned by the Senate to explain the details of the deals which the minister claimed was entered into between Nigerian and Chinese governments on the one hand, and the Indian government on the other.
President Muhammadu Buhari has assured the Chinese government that his administration would continue to make efforts at improving the bilateral relations between Nigeria and China.
The Chinese government has provided scholarship to 700 Nigerian students since 1987. This was disclosed by the Charge d Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, Qin Jian, at a ceremony for the award of scholarship to another set of 24 students.
