Two out of the three-man panel of the Supreme Court affirmed the judgment of the appeal court which struck out the appeal of Uche Oga, challenging the nomination and election of Ikpeazu.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has won the first appeal with regards to the judgments of the Federal High Court in Abuja June 27 which ordered that he be removed from office.

The governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has said he will appeal the court judgment that ordered his removal from office and directed the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to cede the certificate of return to his opponent in the Primary Election, Uche Ogah.
