Oil Workers’ Unions Divided Over Planned Strike

There appears to be a division between the two unions representing oil workers in Nigeria as to whether to embark on a nationwide strike or not.

Oil Workers Postpone Strike Temporarily

Nigerian oil workers under the umbrella body of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, have postponed their proposed strike until Monday, July 11 when negotiations will be opened with the federal government.
