According to the report by the Senate ad-hoc committee, the suspended SGF converted PINE into a money making enterprise, using the agency to award contracts to cronies whose firms did not pass the requirements set by law.
The committee had written the suspended SGF on Wednesday, asking him to appear before its hearing on Thursday, but his aides reportedly refused to accept the letter.
“We went there but we couldn’t find them. So the option before us is that it is easier for the camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for us to find some of these names here,” said Shehu Sani.
