Souther Kaduna Crisis

The Inspector General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris, has sent in Police Special Forces to the troubled areas in Southern Kaduna in order to prevent the violence there from further escalating.

Three people were reported killed and many others were injured on Tuesday night after hoodlums attacked a community called Samarun Kataf, in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, residents say.

Former Head of State, Abdusalami Abubakar, who is also chairman of the National Peace Committee, has led his team to Kaduna State where he appealed to all aggrieved parties in the violent attacks in Southern Kaduna, to embrace peace and tolerate one another.
