Lamido who could not be arraigned in court Monday due to the workers’ day public holiday, was on Tuesday remanded in prison by Magistrate, Muhammad Liman, pending the hearing of his bail application.
Chief Magistrate of the Jigawa State Magistrate Court, Usman Liman, gave the ruling on Tuesday after the ex-governor was arraigned by the Police on allegations of incitement.
Reports claim the former governor was arrested for allegedly inciting his supporters to stop the conduct of local government elections in the State which has been scheduled for July 1.
