Teachers in government owned primary and secondary schools in Bayelsa State, have resumed for the 2016/2017 academic session following directives from the Nigerian Union of Teachers, NUT.
Teachers of government owned primary and secondary schools in Bayelsa have agreed to call off their ongoing industrial action and return to their classrooms, after a meeting with Governor Seriake Dickson on Thursday.
Secondary and primary schools in Bayelsa State have yet to resume for the new academic year following the inability of the state government to clear seven months’ salary arrears owed teachers in public schools.
