Troops Foil Attack By Pregnant Suicide Bomber In Borno

 


Nigerian troops and members of the  Civilian JTF in Maiduguri, Borno State prevented an attack by a pregnant suicide bomber and another female bomber along Samboa road.

The two female suicide bombers, were intercepted and subdued after they refused to surrender and attempted an attack on a security post.

The incident occured in Ummarari village  along mulai axis of Maiduguri Damboa road at the outskirts of Maiduguri.




     

     

    The bodies of the two female insurgents were immediately evacuated by officials of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA.

    This was confirmed by spokesman of the agency in North-East, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, who said rescue workers have evacuated the bodies of the suicide bombers.

    “When we got the alert on the incident, the NEMA emergency workers in collaboration with other stakeholders moved to the scene and evacuated the bodies,” Ibrahim stated.

    A civilian JTF was injured during the encounter but is responding to treatment after his evacuation to the hospital.
