Village Head, 11 Others killed In Borno Terrorist Attack

The district head of Garubula village in Biu local government area of Borno State, Ibrahim Dawi, was killed in a Boko Haram attack Wednesday night.




     

     

    Dawi was murdered along with 11 other persons when armed members of the sect stormed the village at about 11:00pm sporadically shooting at anyone and anything in sight.

    When the gunshots stopped, the district head was found shot in the forehead and was immediately rushed to the Biu General Hospital where he died.

    He was buried in Biu Thursday morning.

    Residents of the village have called on the federal government to intensify efforts in protecting the lives of its citizens before other communities are sacked.
